Salvatore Pollastrini founded the first company in Italy specializing in canning sardines in 1889. In the 1950s, the Sepe family took over and also started canning spicy and tomato sardines, according to a typical family recipe. Today, production is concentrated in the modern factory located in the industrial area of ​​Anzio, while respecting the ancient recipes passed down from generation to generation. Fishing continues to be carried out with the use of lamps, which allows fish to be caught intact and without suffering.

Pollastrini sardines, which we offer in spicy tomato and olive oil flavors, are excellent eaten immediately or to enrich starters and main dishes.

Packaged in boxes with excellent olive oil, they are a remarkable source of protein (64%), vitamins B12, B3 and B2, A and D, and various trace elements, including phosphorus, sodium, calcium, iron, magnesium and selenium.

Rich in mainly unsaturated fats (the good ones), belonging to the omega-3 series, EPA and DHA, they are one of the rare foods containing vitamin D, which promotes the absorption of calcium.
