Coal Back Recipe
Here is a simple recipe to prepare saithe backs for two people:
Ingredients :
- 2 saithe backs of 200g each
- 1 lemon
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- Salt and ground black pepper
Instructions :
1. Preheat the oven to 200°C.
2. Place the two saithe backs in a baking dish.
3. Sprinkle the saithe backs with the lemon juice.
4. Add the olive oil to the saithe backs, then season with salt and ground black pepper.
5. Place the dish in the preheated oven and cook for approximately 12-15 minutes, depending on the thickness of the saithe backs.
6. Check for doneness by inserting the tip of a knife into the thickest part of the fish. If it penetrates easily, the fish is cooked.
7. Serve the saithe backs hot with steamed vegetables or rice.
